Damp but not moldy packaging paper can still be reused in various ways, such as making simple packaging fillers, pulping it to make recycled paper, or using it as cleaning cloths or garden mulch, thus achieving resource utilization.

Although damp packaging paper is no longer suitable for printing or precision packaging, as long as it is not moldy or contaminated, its fiber structure still has value. Here are some practical reuse methods:

As a cushioning material: Tear damp paper into strips or crumple it into balls and stuff it into express delivery boxes or storage boxes to provide shock absorption and scratch protection. It is especially suitable for transporting fragile items or clothing, replacing foam plastic and being more environmentally friendly.

Homemade recycled paper raw material: Damp paper can be used as raw material for household or small-scale handmade recycled paper: First, soak the paper and pulp it, add a small amount of water and stir to make a pulp paste, pour it into a mold, flatten it, and let it dry to make personalized recycled paper for writing, drawing, or journaling.

Used as Cleaning Cloths: Damp paper with high absorbency can be used as disposable cleaning cloths. Apply a small amount of detergent and wipe countertops, glass, or furniture surfaces. It removes dirt without leaving lint, and is especially suitable for cleaning greasy corners. Dispose of directly after use to avoid cross-contamination.

Gardening Mulch and Composting: Plain packaging paper without ink or chemical coatings can be torn into pieces and spread on the surface of potting soil as garden mulch. This helps retain moisture and suppress weeds. If the paper is pure fiber and without plastic film, it can also be put into a compost bin to ferment with other kitchen waste into organic fertilizer, improving soil structure.

Craft and Children's Creative Materials: Damp paper softens and becomes easier to shape, making it suitable for paper pulp paintings, paper models, and other crafts. Parents can guide children to use it for creative crafts, cultivating environmental awareness and hands-on skills.

Temporary moisture-absorbing and deodorizing packs: Place the dried damp paper (air-dried for 48 hours, with humidity controlled at 55%±5%) in shoe cabinets, wardrobes, or drawers to help prevent moisture absorption. Adding a small amount of tea leaves or activated charcoal powder can also help remove odors.
