Low-temperature blower drying is the fastest method for drying damp packaging paper, typically drying slightly damp paper within minutes.
While several methods can effectively dry damp paper, their efficiency varies significantly:
Low-temperature blower drying – Fastest (5-15 minutes): Using a blower on a low setting, maintain a distance of 15-20 cm for even blowing. Slightly damp paper can be restored to dryness within minutes. This method is suitable for emergency use, but continuous movement of the blower is necessary to avoid localized overheating that could cause wrinkling or brittleness.
Freeze drying – Slower (48 hours or more) but maintains optimal shape: While not the fastest, freezing effectively inhibits mold and allows moisture to sublimate slowly, resulting in flat, less deformed paper after drying. Suitable for important documents or printing paper sensitive to deformation; a "slow but stable" solution.
Paper-clamping and Natural Air Drying: Medium speed (several hours) Using absorbent paper or thick books to clamp the paper, along with changing the paper, can accelerate dehydration. It generally takes 3-6 hours and is suitable for small quantities of paper that are not in urgent need of use.
Ventilated Air Drying: Dependent on environment, longer time (6-24 hours) Spreading the paper out in a dry, well-ventilated environment, using a fan can shorten the time, but it is still affected by humidity and airflow, making the speed unstable.
